About Our School
Getting to Know Prestige Bilingual School
A bilingual school in Medan, born of a partnership between two foundations in 2017. We walk alongside children from Playgroup and Kindergarten through Elementary, teaching the National Curriculum enriched with Cambridge and Montessori references.

A Word of Welcome
Education begins with respect for the child
Education begins with respect for the child. That is how learning is meant to work. The children who walk through our gate are not one type of person with one set of habits. They are not homogeneous. They arrive with all kinds of characters and all kinds of readiness to learn. We cannot treat them with a single approach that may suit one child perfectly and fail another entirely. That is precisely why we must honour what makes each of them unique.
It is out of this conviction that Prestige Bilingual School (PBS) shapes everything it offers. Our curriculum is designed around what students actually need, so that each of them can let their own potential take flight.

Our History
It began with one agreement
Prestige Bilingual School was born of a partnership between Yayasan Pendidikan Muda Kuala in Medan and Yayasan Fatih Indonesia in Banda Aceh.
6 January 2017
Two foundations sign their agreement
Yayasan Pendidikan Muda Kuala in Medan and Yayasan Fatih Indonesia in Banda Aceh signed a partnership agreement. Out of that agreement, Prestige Bilingual School came into being.

The school opens Playgroup, Kindergarten and Elementary
Prestige Bilingual School opened its doors to families in Medan and the surrounding region, beginning with a Playgroup, a Kindergarten and an Elementary School.
12 August 2024
Junior High School officially opens
Prestige Bilingual School's Junior High received its operating licence from Indonesia's Ministry of Education under NPSN 70049944, extending the Prestige journey from Playgroup all the way to Grade 9.

Senior high school ahead
With Junior High open since 2024, senior high school is the next stage we intend to build, so that the school can contribute even more to developing Indonesia's people through education.
