Where your child grows up kind, curious, and ready for the world.
Welcome to Prestige Bilingual School in Medan - a place where children grow into independent, confident young people who are ready to contribute to the world around them.

“To raise a golden generation of noble character and sharp intellect - globally minded, rooted in Indonesian culture, and able to live those values out in the wider community.”
The four pillars that hold that vision up
Noble Character
Character comes first. Children learn honesty, respect and care through the daily habits of school life, not from a textbook alone.
Sharp Intellect
Our curriculum asks children to think critically and find answers for themselves, so every child's potential unfolds in their own way.
Globally Minded
Two languages of instruction and Cambridge curriculum references open a window on the world early - without loosening a child's footing.
Rooted in Indonesian Culture
Children grow up proud to be Indonesian - loving their neighbours, their people and their country, and living that out in the community.
Four levels, one continuous journey
From a child's very first days in Playgroup through to Grade 9, each stage is built to hand over cleanly to the next.

Playgroup
Playgroup is a play-based programme with a strong emphasis on kindergarten readiness. We make sure our three- and four-year-olds build every skill they need for the next step, while still having plenty of room to make friends and simply enjoy being children.

Kindergarten
Our kindergarten programme keeps the learning stimulating and nurtures the growth of the whole child: physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. As children master tasks and skills matched to their age and ability, they develop a healthy sense of self and the readiness skills they need to thrive in the elementary years.

Elementary School
Our elementary school is organised into Lower Elementary (Grades 1-3) and Upper Elementary (Grades 3-6) for children aged six to twelve. The curriculum covers the National Curriculum and is aligned with Cambridge learning objectives, giving students a rich international learning experience while growing into young people of good character who are independent and responsible.

Junior High School
Prestige Bilingual School's Junior High continues the bilingual journey from Elementary on the same campus, for students in Grades 7 to 9. The level has been officially licensed since 2024 and runs the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Six reasons families choose us
Not grand promises - just the things that actually happen every day at Jl. Bromo No. 224.
National Curriculum, strengthened by Cambridge & Montessori
The national curriculum is the backbone. We enrich it with Cambridge references for English, Science, Mathematics, and ICT, and with a Montessori approach that respects a child's independence.
Character is taught, not assumed
SEL (Social Emotional Learning) is a subject in its own right, so children practise naming their feelings, working with others, and making good decisions.
Two languages, every day
Indonesian and English take turns as the language of instruction, supported by our Bilingualism programme, English Club, and Story Telling. Children do not need any English before they join.
Teachers who keep learning
Every week our teachers take part in Cajilis - reading, presenting, writing. Twice a year they go through Development of Teaching Proficiency (DTP), alongside training and dissemination sessions.
School and home move together
Home visits, Parents Club, parent webinars, and Tea Talks keep families genuinely part of a child's progress - not just recipients of an end-of-term report.
Everything a school day needs, pick-up included
Comfortable classrooms, a library, an Art Gallery, a prayer room, a dining hall, a play field, smart boards, and a school pick-up service - 10 facilities that carry a child through the school day.

Education begins with respect for the child
Read the full welcomeEducation begins with respect for the child. That is how learning is meant to work. The children who walk through our gate are not one type of person with one set of habits. They are not homogeneous. They arrive with all kinds of characters and all kinds of readiness to learn. We cannot treat them with a single approach that may suit one child perfectly and fail another entirely. That is precisely why we must honour what makes each of them unique.
It is out of this conviction that Prestige Bilingual School (PBS) shapes everything it offers. Our curriculum is designed around what students actually need, so that each of them can let their own potential take flight.
Stories from the families who trust us with their children
Four parents, in their own words, on what it has been like to raise their children alongside Prestige Bilingual School.
Assalamualaikum. I would like to share the remarkable experience of my daughter, who is currently studying at SD Prestige Bilingual School, Medan. Calista started here in kindergarten, when she was only four years old, with all the behaviour and ways of thinking of any child that age. She was shy, found it hard to mix with new people, and was afraid to say what she thought. All of that slowly changed. Her teachers were patient in teaching her and in developing her sensory and motor skills, and they never neglected her ability to manage her emotions. Prestige School walks alongside every stage of a child's development at the pace that suits their age. It does not force learning targets that leave a child under pressure, yet it is consistent in growing a child's intelligence. So far, as a parent, I feel my daughter is learning comfortably and happily, because she is surrounded by teachers who are able to teach from the heart and guide children towards real understanding.Read the full storyShow less

On a friend's recommendation, I visited Prestige Bilingual School, which is not far from where we live. What drew me in was the home visit programme at the start of the semester and the mid-semester evaluation. Through those meetings we learn how our child is developing at school. On top of that, the children are guided by teachers who are, masya Allah, extraordinarily patient, quick to answer questions and always ready to make things easier for parents. To me, Prestige Bilingual School is a complete package. It is not only the children who learn; parents are invited to learn too, through Zoom seminars with genuinely capable speakers. That is a real help for parents in supporting their children. Beyond the convenient location and the welcoming atmosphere, the children are taught manners and courtesy as well as several short surahs. As a bilingual school, alhamdulillah, there are now a number of English words my daughter understands. The school also makes room for children to bring out their interests, talents, and potential. Continued success to Prestige Bilingual School.Read the full storyShow less

Prestige Bilingual School is one of the good schools in Medan and it has many strengths. First, Prestige is a child-friendly school. Here students are given room to learn and create in line with their own interests and talents. Second, Prestige has many excellent programmes, such as building literacy from an early age; personally I appreciate this a great deal. Third, Prestige does not only develop cognitive ability but also instils character, for example through the SEL (Social Emotional Learning) subject. Fourth, Prestige keeps up good communication with parents about their children's development. The school schedules home visits in turn, so that teachers can speak directly with parents about how a child is doing at home and at school. For all these reasons, I chose Prestige Bilingual School as the place for my children to be educated into an outstanding generation. May Prestige Bilingual School always give its very best.Read the full storyShow less
